Throughout October we raised money for Breast Cancer. Several of our "Karate Moms" are survivors. We are also thinking of one mom in particular who is currently battling it. We asked her what charity she'd like the money to go to on her behalf. She chose a local one, the YWCA of Princeton Breast Cancer Resource Center.
Our Small Karate School managed to sell 30 t-shirts with a pink version of our logo, with $5 from each shirt going to the charity. Today we are donating $150 to this worthy cause.
This could not have been done without everyone's participation. Thanks again to everyone who bought the shirts. It's such a joy to see everyone wearing their pink shirts in class, and I know, it's especially uplifting to those afflicted when they see everyone wearing the shirts.
