Don't Forget we offer Make-Up Classes Every 1st and 3rd Friday of the Month at 5:15pm starting this Friday Feb 1st.  UNLIMITED Students can come to this class also for extra practice or Pre-Testing.

New For 2013

We will temporarily be cancelling Women's Self Defense Class Thursdays at 6:45 and replacing it with a SWORD Class.  This is a training class for some of our black belts and Instructors.

DEMO TEAM PRACTICE

We are putting together a demo team so we can perform this summer starting with our May 11th Demo at Trenton Thunder!  Demo Practice will be the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month starting the 2nd week in February.  If you would like to be on the demo team, please be sure to talk to an instructor.  

The 1st and 3rd Fridays we will still have our testings at 6pm.  The 5:15 "JUST FORMS" class is now an altogether Open Class which is perfect for those needing extra practice, Make Ups, or Last Minute Practicing before 6pm Test.

What a blast!  We had a great time, NINJA STYLE!  I have to thank Mrs. Corey Schwartz for coming and reading her fantastic book, 3 Ninja Pigs!  Thank you to the Hickory Corner and Hightstown Memorial Libraries for a great event.  Thank you to everyone who came out, we had a great turnout and alot of fun too!  Reminder any new student who attended gets to try karate at CMB for Free for a week!  We have alot of events coming up, so check back soon!

Congratulations to Amrinpreet Singh Sohpal on being selected as our Student of the Month for the month of December 2012.  His attitude, confidence, and techniques have really gotten better over the past month.  He is very respectful, but also very funny!  Congrats to Amrinpreet, and keep up the good work!  We are currently looking for the next student to be chosen for January Student of the Month and we will announce it in early February.  So train hard, and practice often!

This Saturday January 12th, I will be doing two karate demonstrations/mini classes at two local libraries.  Author Corey Rosen Schwartz will be doing a book reading of her children's book, "The Three Ninja Pigs"  Afterwards I will  be talking to the children about karate, and showing them a few sweet moves!  Please come out and support us, it is a wonderful book and Mrs. Schwartz is a wonderful person.  We will be at the Hickory Corner Library at 1:30pm and the Hightstown Library at 3:00pm.  For more information you can go to the Mercer County Library Website @ www.mcl.org or the article @ East Windsor Patch.  Thanks!

Congratulations to Mark P. on attaining his Intermediate Yellow belt.  Also Congratulations go out to Nathaniel S. on attaining his Yellow Belt.  Both had outstanding concentration and really take the martial arts seriously.  We expect great things in the future from these two fine young men.

Today I had the opportunity to do a "Stranger Danger" Seminar with over 160 Preschoolers at their school in New Brunswick.  We actually broke it up into 4 Mini-Seminars.  I had a great time, and I know the kids really enjoyed it.  I find that most kids know to, "Not talk to Strangers,"  but it is important to define exactly who a stranger is.    I encourage parents to talk to their children about who they can go places with, and who they cannot.  We teach our children to be kind to one another, and to say, "hello" to an adult when they walk in the room.  It can be very difficult for them to make the connection and differentiate from a person they can trust, and one they cannot.  Remember  it's not always the "Scary Bad Man" we need to be afraid of.  Last months events remind us all that we live in a scary world, and we need to have conversations like this with our loved ones.  

I'd like to thank the staff of St. Ladislaus for the opportunity and for being gracious hosts.  If any other school/organization would like to arrange a seminar I am more than willing.
