 Over Three Weeks after Sandy took our roof, we have our whole dojo back! We have to give special thanks to my father Ron Brooks and Instructor Kevin Schatzle. And yesterday Mrs. Cathy and my cousin Peter Giermanski helped on the final push to get everything back to normal. We Couldn't have done it without everyone's support.

 Evan Successfully Tested For His Jr. Black Belt this past Sunday. He did an outstanding job. Myself, Sensei Koller, and Sensei Federico were Impressed by his stamina and intensity. We are all very proud of you. But not nearly as proud as your Mom and Dad. Congratulations, and continue the hard work, it pays off!
- Master Brooks  We are back to normal, sort of. We held classes again for the first time in what feels like forever. Everything should continue on with the normal schedule through this weekend and into next week. Barring any more bad weather! Thank you to those people that came out in tonight's bad weather to be there for us as we Re-Opened.
-Master Brooks Thank you everyone for you patience. We are Finally Re-Opening tomorrow at 6pm for ALL RANKS Karate. And MMA to follow at 7pm. We should continue on with our normal schedule in the days to follow.
Rank Tests will be moved to Next Friday Nov 16th to give everyone time to practice. Evan's Black Belt test will go on as scheduled this Sunday Nov 11th. Thank you all in advance for your understanding, as we will be working with less mat space for a little while. I really look forward to getting back in the swing of things. -Master Brooks I know it's been a while since we updated with the storm. I personally just got power and internet at my house, and I'm also told we have power at the school. I will go to the school and assess. As of right now, I expect to have a karate class tomorrow at 6, and MMA at 7.
During the storm parts of the roof blew off bringing water and ceiling tiles down in the school. Cleanup has been slow without power. If we do have power, (and heat), and the water is all cleaned out, I plan on RE-Opening tomorrow. PLEASE check back to determine for sure. Things are constantly changing, and nothing is happening quickly. Thank you all for your support through what is a challenging time for everyone. -Master Brooks |
