Today Sensei Gregory Scatko taught his last class before heading off to college. He will be sorely missed.
I'd like to take responsibility for raising him up to be an intelligent, confident, responsible, and incredibly respectful young man that he is today.
But I cannot.
The truth is he has been that way since he walk in the dojo 5 years ago in August of 2013. Even at a young age he had such poise and character, I couldn't believe it. All the credit is on him, and his two wonderful parents Paul and Cynthia.
Thank you for allowing your wonderful son to spend most of his teenage years here at the dojo.
Greg has returned the favor to his parents for his magnificent upbringing by securing himself a full ride scholarship to Rutgers Honors College and Engineering Program.
We all know Greg is moving on to do incredible things. We know he will be GREAT at anything he wants to do because he will bring that same positive attitude, hard work, and sense of responsibility.
I am incredibly proud of you as my student, but also feel privileged to have been able to teach along side of you.
