Friday night I tested for, and passed, my 5th dan Godan Black Belt.
Saturday night I was named Master Karate Instructor of the Year in the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
It was a great honor, and I am very thankful to Dr. Thomas and the grandmasters on the board, as well as all those at the banquet Saturday Night.
The best part of the weekend was having my wife, and parents with me. My Mother and Father saw me receive an award for the first time in over 12 years. I feel very blessed to have such loving and encouraging parents. Thanks for everything Mom and Dad.
